 Not a typical Thursday.
Normally during the summers, Thursdays are days I drive to work, taking my road bike/gear so I can head directly to the Thursday night ride. Well, tonight I had a post season softball game - softball is normally played on Friday nights - so I had to pass on the Thursday night ride. Since the softball game was not to start until 7:30 PM, I had time then to ride my bike to/from work today - to get a 'bonus' bike commute.

As for the softball game, that was a great time too. We won 35-21 vs Parkway Baptist. We built up a 15 run lead ofter the first 3 innings, and they put up several runs in the fourth and scratched their way back to within 6 runs in the fifth inning. Neither team managed any offense in the 6th, then we opened up for a dozen runs or so in the top of the 7th, while they managed to scratch out a couple runs in the bottom - to little to late. Whoot. My personal highlight of the night was turning on an inside pitch and cranking it over the left fielder's head (who was playing to shallow even on me) and legging it out for a triple.

Not used to having to get up in the morning and going to work after a softball game, but will do so tomorrow with a smile on my face following tonight's game, and looking forward to playing 2 more playoff games Friday night.
