I decided to try something different this morning and set out to find my way to Lake Conestee to ride the little trails in the preserve around it. I know that I would have to take a circuitous route to get there and I got lost doing it. That's fine - it made for a more interesting ride. The weather was nice but the winds were tough to deal with once I was tired. Hurricane Irene has caused the weather pattern to jumble up and that has left us with a lot of shifting winds from the front that it getting redirected south of the hurricane. I stopped in the park to get a drink and discovered that my bottles were still on the kitchen counter! That was over 14 miles out. I stopped at a convenience store about 18.5 miles and got a large bottle of Power-Aid. I really needed it.
