Another cool damp day, but the wind was quite a bit less than yesterday and was barely noticeable. Took the new bike back out for another attempt testing the sprinting response. Did a longer climb today than yesterday up Fitzpatrick Hill. Climb was nothing special as the bike didn't seem to enhance my mediocre climbing ability. It was probably as more a reflection of my heavy legs than then the attributes of the frame. Climb was significantly slower than my average up the hill. Legs kicked back in over the rollers on Middle Road again and bike felt really good. Turned into the tailwind and Horseheads and powered down the back nine in the big chainring. Tried out the sprint again into Millport and was pleasantly surprised as I easily broke the thirty mark with a thirty eight. The new frame sprints much better than I do. It appears that I will need to up the thirty mile mark up to thirty five in the future. Did a couple more short sprints over the last few miles and though the bike handled them well my old tired legs did not. Had a good ride today and everything on the new bike checked out. Very happy with the purchase so far.
