Sun has returned today but the wind has shifted to the north and is keeping the temperature down. At least the air isn't as damp as it has been in the last few days. Went out to work on the climbing today. Started up the steepness that is Havana and was concerned it might be a little harder since the gearing on this bike is a bit more aggressive. Didn't have any problems today though but also had some help from a tailwind up the climb. Didn't break any records but had an acceptable time. Run to the junction went a little better than it has lately, but it was also mostly the wind as for the past few months the wind has been blowing from the southwest. Turned into the wind on CR 13 and spun the few miles of upgrade to the bottom of the Arnot Forest climb. Hit the climbs fairly hard and got good results. Legs appear to have rested enough that they are again able to put out some decent watts without collapsing the whole system. Had a good downhill through Newfield and the found that the new frame is very solid on descents. The remainder of the ride was short climbs and rollers and felt fairly strong going through them. Caught a tailwind back to Odessa from Mecklenberg and pushed the big gear in several places. Ended up averaging over a mile an hour faster than my last ride on this course. Good day on the bike.
