North wind continues to blow and again headed up the valley to Horseheads. Legs were heavy again and numbers were indicating that I'm not getting a good recovery overnights. I had taken three days off the bike hoping to recharge but still not feeling it.
Plan was to get some climbing in without stressing the body too much. Tailwind up the valley didn't seem to provide much help and didn't get much speed out of the legs. Returned from Horseheads via Ridge Road with a six mile long step climb. Climbed steadily with some authority and legs started to feel a bit stronger. Didn't want to do too much as have a metric century on Monday and really don't want to go into the ride with a beaten down body. Did make an effort on the six miles of downhills after Seymoreville and almost got the average up to fifteen. A couple months ago I would have been happy with the result but now it doesn't seem very fast.
