Cool and cloudy today with a stiff breeze. Seem to be facing a burnout situation as I really had little desire to ride today. Kept thinking of routes to ride and instantly coming up with why each route was a bad idea. Ended up just doing a short route around town as a compromise with myself. If I got tired all I had to do was turn around and coast back home. Spun up Dug Rd on the south side of town and was delighted that the road is now all paved although perhaps tarred is a better description. Middle part of the hill used to be dirt but is was always hard packed and always easily ridden on the road bike. It turned out to be a slow climb as well as a slow rest of the ride. Next climb was up through Moreland and over the hill to SR14. Finished off the climbing section with Bronson Hill that ends near the WGI track. Coasted down into Tyrone and then coasted down into Watkins. Did pass another rider that was coming up the hill I was descending. He looked quite a bit like Dr Frank though I am not even sure he is still around. I did enjoy the ride even though I felt tired and easily talked myself out of extending it.
