I was going to ride by Steve's today but he was having a bad day, so I headed back up the trail. Once through the park I crossed McDaniel and turned onto Sherwood to work my way up to Camperdown and onto Broad Street. Then it was on up the trail and into a stiff wind. The wind was a battle all the way up the trail. Jenn tooted her horn at me as I was crossing at TR Oriental. When I got to the Creamery Tralayne was laughing that I had just missed Jenn. I told her that Jenn had escaped just in time. I had a regular black raspberry cup and headed back down the trail. Once back on my bike the sky had turned dark to the west and the wind had turned 180 degrees into my face. It was a battle even though most of the return was downhill, but as soon as I crossed the Furman campus the wind shifted to out of the west and it started sprinkling. Watkins Bridge is .6 miles south and it was raining hard by the time I reached it so I turned back north. It was raining hard but I made it back to the campus and a small shelter. A small group of us huddled and joked under it until the rain passed and I headed south again. Once the rain had passed the wind had died as well. I was wet through and through but it was a good ride.
