Got a replacement derailleur hanger from Spain today which beat the California ones that aren't expected until next week. Installed it on the Look and attempted to tune the derailleur without much success. Appears that the unit might have been bent though it wasn't visible by eye. Ended up making many realigning (hanger bending) adjustments just trying to get the range correct. Finally thought I had it close and took a short ride around town to check it out. Mostly worked but wouldn't stay in a couple of the mid-range gears. It is ridable as long as I avoid those gears. Gave up the ride and ordered a new cage and a derailleur alignment tool. Very frustrating day but at least the wire wasn't broken when the hanger broke.
