Erica and I met at the Pullman car along with south side of the Furman campus to ride the northern end of the Swamp Rabbit Trail this evening. We took off and rode north through the campus then through Travelers Rest and on north of town to the northern end of the trail. We turned around and headed back south back through the campus and on the southern end of that part of the trail. We then turned around again and went back to the parking lot. We stopped for a drink of water, then went back onto the campus and left the trail to ride the trail around scenic the Bell Tower Lake on the Furman campus. Then finally back to the parking lot by the Pullman car. It takes longer with two of us riding, but we had a good ride. Going around the lake at Furman was tough with steep hill to climb. I dropped into low gear and was huffing and puffing my way up the hill. I really felt it once we were back to the parking lot!
