First the ride - there were 8 of us on today's ride. Ken, Steve - who just returned from a 30 day European tour, Don and E.Claire on their new tandem, Nick, Bob, Susan, and me. Today's ride was at a very slow pace. I rode at the rear all the way up and got dropped at a couple of different crossings and also in a couple of different large groups. So I hustled to up. I had a small English toffee chocolate twist and a caramel iced latté. On the ride back we gathered at the Zfurman railroad car while officer Mike told some off color jokes. Susan and I rode ahead then. We gathered again at the SR Cafe. Then once again at West End Park as the Rythms of Life were having their monthly jam session. Susan and I took off again and rode back to the zoo. She left and I waited for the group to come in. Today was an especially social day as we hadn't seen E.Claire or Steve for a while. On my way home Ken and Steve passed me as I pulled out from Overbrook.
Then the week - I hadn't ridden since last week as I have had some kind of ear or inner ear infection. I had a rough week and still don't feel right.
