Took a couple days off to rest the legs and went back to some climbing today. Started off up Havana Glen again and was hoping the legs would get me up the sixteen percent grades in smart order. Didn't happen though as just survived the climb and barely topped a six mile an hour average. Things picked up after that though as legs kicked in once the grade lessened to Odessa. Did better on second part of the climb up Ridge Road. Got the average up to ten by the top of the climb over Seymoreville. So despite the initial failing the climbing wasn't too bad overall. Pushed a big gear down to Horseheads but was a little slower than last time out. Finished off the ride with a decent ride back down through the valley. Was able to fairly easily get the average above seventeen but lost my focus after that and just tried to hold on to the gains. Still losing time on the climbs that needs improvement but able to obtain speeds that were out of reach a month ago.
