Forecast had called for quite a bit of rain in the morning but although it was cloudy it didn't rain. Had planned to ride in the late afternoon when some sunshine was forecast but then decided to head out in the morning and take a longer ride than scheduled. Got ready to go and when I got outside it had started raining. Turned out to be a short shower so I waited it out then headed north. Planned on going to Reading Center then over Suger Hill but felt better today and added a loop through Rock Stream. First hour and a half of the ride was all uphill but there was nothing steep involved. Hardly noticed the wind at all until I started to come down the south side of Sugar Hill. Didn't do much on the downhills and flats as the body just seems content to coast most of the time. Spinning the climbs well so am not going to push it until I get some warmer weather. Started to see some breakage in the clouds and an occasional glimpse of blue sky. Air temperature rose quite well as I rode, and it was pleasant by the end of the ride. Hope to get at least one long hard ride in this week as if the weather stays nice in VA I plan on doing back to back centuries this weekend and don't want to let my legs get too relaxed.
