 Worn Down
Headed out for a short ride with two climbs. Climbed well up Old Odessa and had a decent ride to the Junction and a good climb on SR 13 toward Sullivinville. Once over the top thought I would do some speed work on the final twenty miles of downgrade but try as I might, I couldn't generate much speed. Thought I might be able to regroup and try again down the slot from Horseheads but my heartrate refused to rise above the nineties. I thought my heartrate monitor wasn't working right but did a manual stopwatch check and confirmed my rate was low. At least it accounted for my lack of speed. Ended up just coasting home. Wasn't very happy with my condition as have the last race of the season on Sunday, and it will make for a hard day if my heart doesn't recover.
