Took yesterday off due to aggressive winds and have a century tomorrow so opted for a short ride with a climb. Caught a north wind up the valley and had a good average at the bottom of the climb up Johnson Hollow. Just made a steady effort on the climb which is actually the only type of climbing I due except possibly relaxed. So just kept pressure on the pedals and worked my way up through the hollow. Had a good downhill to Watkins and did just enough work back across the swamp to get a seventeen. Getting stronger now but not sure I'll get enough miles in this year to start averaging eighteen. Should get some miles in tomorrow with the century in PA. Packed up the truck and headed south after riding.
