     | Club: Secular Cycleism | | Weather Conditions: Sunny. Warm. 80's. | | Ride Description: FALL COLOR FESTIVAL RACE: 1 Lap of the Blue Loop. There's a lot more new singletrack in the front part of the Blue Loop.
Well, I felt better than I did at Chequamegon. But, Chest pain returned early, arms got weak and tingley. So after getting knocked down by a girl trying to pass on my right at a short steep section that had log-jammed with several people walking, I tried to pace myself. I pushed when I felt good, backed off when I started to tighten up. I lost a few places and time waiting for a clear place to re-start after getting knocked down. Lots of carnage today, most of it behind me. I heard 5 or 6 guys crash behind me today.

There were a few problems with the time keeping, and several races started early, making a lot of riders very unhappy when they showed up at the start line on time only to find out their race had left without them.

Still, My time was only 3 minutes slower than last year, with a 1/4 mile of narrow singletrack added. I won a Pedal Wrench, A nice pair of Trek cold weather Gloves, and a bottle of Ernesto Chain Lube.
Sue Rode the women's Class, getting 5th (of 10) with a time of 01:13.09.5. That time would have gotten 2nd place in the 40+ Women if she rode with me.

OFFICIAL RACE RESULTS: Time: 01:13:26.2 / Overall: 73rd Place of 93.
15th of 26 in the Male Over 40 Class.
