I went to Donaldson for the SCTAC country ride and it was brutal tonight. The wind was blowing the first half of the ride and it took the starch out of me. Along with struggling with the wind I seemed to be out of sync with myself and had another case of DLS! About 9 miles out I had a big fly into my mouth. I think it was a stink bug and it tasted awful and dried out my mouth. Then about 28 miles into the ride a bug flew into my mouth so hard that it made my tongue hurt. Also on the ride I saw about a dozen wild turkeys, there were 3 P3 Orions along the runway at Donaldson, there was a blimp that I saw when about 15 miles out and a C130 was flying around and buzzing the runway. I also helped rescue a large white rabbit along the roadside, so it was an eventful ride.
