Still feeling under the weather and I am hoping it is just the antibiotics that are dragging my body down since I have been resting the legs for a few days now. Did quite a bit of climbing of long grades out of Watkins and then with a long grade from Rock Stream to the top of Sugar Hill. Have no spin left at all and just have to put it in the granny gear and grind it out. Saw a little sun late in the ride but it didn't have seem to be putting out much heat. Didn't get wet today and I am hoping that today will be the first day of a long trend of dry riding. Leaves are dropping off the trees in the hills in great batches and a couple of the roads had a significant covering of them. Keeping my fingers crossed for a couple more weeks of warm riding but long range forecasts don't look very good. Forecast for the race in Cazenovia on Saturday calls for rain and a high of forty six degrees. Can't see how it can drop that much in such a short period with the steady south winds that have been blowing in all week. One would think that it would take several days of a steady north wind to push the air mass back south.
