Rear tire was flat when I went out to get on my bike to go home. After changing the tube and getting it about half aired up with the mini-frame pump, I figured I'd ride up Walton Rd and air it up the rest of the way at the BP station between Walton, Midland & Lackland. Knowing that they charge money for using air, I went back into my desk to get some change. Then as I started rolling out of the parking lot I remember there is a QT just west of us on Page and their air is free. So I turned left onto Page, climbeding the hill then turning into QT. There was a guy that had just pulled up to air a tire in his car, but that's OK becuase I was having problems getting my left foot out of the pedal - I was torqing my foot hard enough that the cleat was moving under the soul of the shoe, instead of popping out of its mount.

I finally got the shoe off of the pedal, and used my multi-tool to loosen the cleat so I could realign it. And, while I was at it, I adjusted the tension on the pedal - I'd been having problems with it but not quite to this degree. By now the guy was done using the air, so I rolled over a filled up my tire to 80 psi; not quite what I normally have it at, but sufficient to have a good feeling riding home.

To leave QT I would have to make a left onto Page, then descend down the Walton Rd intersection. When leaving the parking lot of work, I enter Page Rd about half way down the hill, so this would be a full descent and dealing with both lanes of traffic that much longer, too. Turned out that traffic wasn't a problem for that stretch.
Now the sun was close to setting, so I made sure my tail lights were turned on, and turned on my new headlight a little ways down the road.
