 Green Route in the Wind
I changed things up today and went out to Donaldson to ride the green route. I knew that it was windy but figured that it would be tough on Perimeter Road and fine on the country route. boy was I wrong. The wind was very brutal! I really struggled coming back. I also had a semi blow me off the road and onto the grass. I was riding in the 18 inch strip between the white line and the grass when a semi came very close to me. I was in a strong cross wind and when he was there it took the wind off me and pulled me toward the trailer. But once he passed the wind and turbulence blew me completely off the road and into the grass. That was a first! Overall it was a good ride but the final 5 or 6 miles was a real battle with the wind.
