I've Got Something to Say

I went to look for the confirmation email for our hotel room this weekend, but couldn't find it. When I made these reservations earlier this month, we ended up with a room in Jackson (just north of Cape), but don't remember what hotel, let alone that the reservation was good since I never received the email. This is parent's weekend for SEMO, and the Redhawks havea home footback game against OVC rival Eastern Illinois - everything is booked up.
I called the Drury (we normally stay at the Drury Lodge in Cape) in Jackson, and they didn't have anything for me (or any rooms to offer) but the clerk put me in touch with the Drury main office. The CS rep couldn't find anything for me, but made a reservation for me in Sikeston (35 mile south of Cape), since I didn't want one of the two smoking rooms available in Cape. I then did another Expedia search and found a room at the Hampton in Cape - much better location wise. As I was finishing my check-out, I somehow vaguely remember a charge hitting my Discover card for the original reservastions, so I pull up my account online and sure enough there is a charge on 9/7. I then call Expedia and rep finds my transaction and we realize I transposed two characters in my email (I either did it on the 'confirmation email entry' too or I copied & pasted it from the original entry to the confirmation). So she corrects the email & I finally receive the confirmation email... for the Comfort Suites in Jackson - actually just off the I-55 exit (#99) we usually take when going to Cape. Whoot.
I close the session for the Hampton room, then call Drury to cancel the Sikeston room (for a $25 charge since I was given the erate - ugh). Now its time to pack & leave!
