Wind has died down but it was also quite cool when the sun was obscured by the numerous clouds. Fall was definitely in the air. Legs weren't feeling any joy today so kept things mostly at a comfortable touring speed. Took the Southwind route despite the light north wind, as I thought a tailwind would help on the long climb out Penn Yan late in the ride. First climb wasn't too bad up SR 14 out of Watkins despite the slight headwind. It turned into fairly pleasant riding once it warmed up a little and kept a good pace across the false flats and rolling terrain to Dresden. Had a good climb up SR 54 to Penn Yan, but the left front shifter came loose on the downhill and had to stop in Penn Yan and tighten it up. After stopping though, the legs felt rather logy and took a long time to do the five mile climb out of town. Opted out of doing the climb on 14 A out of Dundee and did the shallower climb out to Lakemont since I could catch the tailwind back down the lake and the legs really didn't feel like doing too much more climbing. Not a bad ride but legs didn't have any snap.
