T.S. Lee has passed through and is nearly gone, but tonight was the regular Tuesday night ride. I was there about an hour early and the air was heavy with very dark clouds and it was windy. It spit sprinkles for the first 5 or 6 miles and I was fighting the wind until I turned around on Holly. That was over half way and I had to pick up the pace once I was with the wind. That was nice! Once on Perimeter I met the B group and the were in a small peloton. Later I met the A group and they were severely fractured. There was a 3 man breakaway then some stragglers and a disorganized group of about 15 riders. About a half mile back from them was a second group of 20 to 25 riders that looked to be fairly organized. But still no Lou. Another mile back I met Lou riding alone. he said that the A group ride was crazy on the first lap. About 6 miles around they turned with the wind and really kicked up the pace so that the peloton fractured and fell apart. Lou usually sits back in the peloton and he said that once it fractured that it turned crazy so he decided to do a tempo ride. He and I rode in together then he went on to either do his tempo ride or latch back onto the A group.
