I headed up the SRT for an ice cream and a quick quarter, but I started seeing damp patches around Cedar Lane, then Felt sprinkles after Blue Ridge, and ran into rain after Sulphur Springs. By the time I made Furman I was caught in a downpour. Even though I could see blue skies in three directions the rain stayed right on me over 20 minutes. I had stopped at the railroad car at Furman and was sitting on a covered bench. I finally called Cis and told her to come get me. The rain finally stopped so I called Cis andhad her meet me for ice cream and a ride home in the car.
