I drove to the tennis courts to do Ken"s ride today. Seven of us left the zoo entrance - Ken, Mark, Steve S, Bo, Jeremy, Victor, and me. We were slightly past Linky Stone Park when I noticed that Don Y and Lynda were riding with us. As we passed through the area where the new Unity Park will be I was stopped by a woman rider that wants to try riding with us. I talked to her a few minutes then went on. Today it seemed like I had several interruptions that separated me from the group, but I had no trouble chasing them down. The group turned around across from the creperie, but I rode on out to the end of the trail. I stopped for a drink there and a couple was out there. There was a tiny sandal out there and I told them that I had met a family with a little one about a quarter mile up. They took off and Jeremy showed up, but he had left the group and was heading home to relieve his wife of their kids. I took off going south and passed the couple that had picked up the sandal. I came on the family at the old trail’s end and stopped to ask if they were missing a small sandal and he said "We’re missing two!" Then the couple rolled up and they had found the 2nd sandal and returned them to the family. From there I rode back to Travelers Rest and rejoined the group at the Tree House. I had a couple of chocolate chip cookies and filled my water bottles. The ride down the trail was a little odd, but we all made it back in the end!!
