I rode the Trek from home early this morning. It was 77 at 6:15 AM. I inflated the tires, but the rear blinkie was dead. Once I was on the road the front derailleur shifted to the big ring, but wouldn't shift to the small ring. I stopped out on the road and worked it manually, but it was still not quite working. I kept working it and it finally started shifting normally. I rode to Verdae and Legacy Park, then across town and stopped at the railroad car at Furman. From there I rode back to Cleveland Park and stopped for a chat with a woman and her 2 little ones. She had promised her little boy a dollar if he climbed the big hill and he was celebrating his climb. They were headed to Runway Park to play. The big hill on Hillside about did me in, but I made it home.
