Trimmed off the extra length of the stays on the new fenders. 18-inch bolt cutter was the perfect tool.
Stopped at the 7-11 in Laytonsville for a coke. Chatted with another cyclist who had just finished a 110-miler to Keysville and back. He had just loaded his bike into his car. This was about 3PM. He said he had started at 7. I'd say he made pretty good time. |

Comments: Poolesville to Dickerson via Sugarland. B/CC Potomac Pedalers ride with Chris Stix leading. Published start was originally 8 AM. Good thing I checked the website last night. Time was moved up to 7AM. Probably a good idea. It was starting to get pretty warm by the time we finished (a few minutes before 10.)
Was an enjoyable ride. Sugarland is pretty bumpy, but all the other roads were in decent shape. Tons of cyclists out on this sunny day.
I think this is the first club ride I've done since the pandemic started. |
