After that, headed to the park, then crossed Reno and took the path. Forgot which turn to take so I meandered a bit. Finally got back on Midwest Blvd. and turned onto Reno just past the hospital. Stayed on the sidewalk and had some dumb cluck not stop for me as he turned into Braum's. Had to go get the sugar, right? I was stopped, so no harm done, but it was irritating. Next time, if there is a next time, I'll be in the street. Dude could NOT have not seen me. Had my bright orange t-shirt, orange helmet, taillight and a headlight. MWC is not the best for attention and it is also not great at being bike friendly. |

The group started out quick and pretty much stayed that way. I did catch up here and there and passed Rachel for a bit, but didn't try for huge speeds. Tony, Rachel, and one guy I don't know and I all hung out together, which was very nice of them. Glad I did the ride because now I know how to get back to the river trail via 4th street and the Walnut Street bridge. Easy peasy. |
