Comments: Fully loaded for CC camping OTET training ride om Mill Creek trail. Actually found new trail segment into/north of Warren. Intentionally went slow to replicate touring pace, still faster than the tour. Cad:70, Vert: 900', ATemp:86F (warm bordering on hot)

Comments: Day 1 OTET; Cleveland to Akron, guessed heart rate, forgot HRM strap during tour..grrr. Got MASSIVELY lost in downtoen Cleveland. Went intentionally slow especially on gravel, 35% of ride. Detour put us on a road with a hill and some traffic, but not horrible. Climbing very slowly after HF14 and with added weight. Vert:1200', ATemp:85F, Cad:66

Comments: Day 2 OTET, Akron to Millersburg. What a death march!! Rain POURED the night/morning prior to ride. Standing water on wooden bridges and gravel trail. No possible way to do any speed when worried of crashing during every feet. Was some serious cyclorcross touring on all surfaces. Sippo Trail was the worst!! HORRENDOUS gravel and paved trail!!! Vert:1950', Cad:67, ATemp;79F. Didn't get to hotel until 4pm!! Longest bike ride by time in years!!

Comments: Day 3 OTET: Millersburg to Mt. Vernon. MUCH better day but still had to deal with a detour with no sure route, We were able to figure it out and guessed a good detour to Mt. Vernon. Heart of Ohio trail was really nice, and Kokosing Gap will be after repaving is complete. Vert: 1000', ATemp:73F, but VERY humid, Cad:67

Comments: Day 4 OTET; Mt. Vernon to Columbus in a thunderstorm and in the middle of Sunbury marathon! No such thing as an easy OTET ride!! Thunderstorm started right as we started dodging marathon runners... VERY sketchy at times. Then had to go thru suburban Columbus to Alum Creek trail. Had to reroute due to flooding Alum Creek, then try to ride as fast as reasonable during thunderstorm to outrun flooding creek, VERY sketchy! Arrived at Alyssa's totally soaked and mentally exhausted. Vert:700', ATemp:69F, Rain was warmish but I'd get cold when stopped.

Comments: Day 5 OTET: Columbus to Xenia. Alum Creek trail still wet with standing water, but creek receeded from yesterday. Still had several navigational challenges from Garmin/GPS which was infuriationg at times. Very slow going thru the city and subburbs. Massively lost at Darby Park as paved trail went to gravel with NO signs and NI GPS info! Went back up big hill before finally getting GPS info. Ride got better until I got to Xenia when I fell over at 0 mph on a curving hill with 0 momentum. That REALLY pissed me off after all the cyclocross we rode until this point wothout going down. Pulled Payton at a measured pace from London to Xenia. Vert:1300', ATemp:80F, no cad!

Comments: Day 6 OTET; Xenia to Yellow Springs, then to Dayton. Due to unknown detour in Morrow, we brevely ran away from the original 71 mile route to Cinci and rode to Payton's instead. A billion stops thru Xenia to Yellow Springs, then left knee got VERY sore on climb into YS. Couldn't walk at top. Decided to head back to Payton's, knee slowly got better as terrain was flat/descending. We were both physically and mentally tired. I was mentally tired from all the navigational issues. Cad:67, Vert:600', ATemp:66F, finally had non-100% humidity!! Was a nice morning!
