Joe is a heck of a good guy. He's fast, a generous rider, and a good friend. Ride with him if you get a chance!

Joe, you're a great guy! First time I met you at the Covered Bridge Metric century in Lancaster, made me at ease so quickly with your pleasant attitude. I enjoyed riding with you because you're a strong rider and chasing you was like a challenge. Hope to ride with you again.

Joe's a good dude. Works for a brewery, which is always something I look for in a friend. That, and he plans on riding more than Don, too.

This guy has a SICK BIKE!!!

Duuuude! No kidding, you rock as well! Can't wait to ride more with ya. I'm going to see the doctor on Friday morning so whether or not I ride Friday is based on what he tells me about my arm. It doesn't bother me as much when I don't do anything strenuous so I have a feeling he's going to tell me to lay low for a while...hopefully not though. Worst case scenario...surgery. I'll take it easy for as long as needed if it means I won't need surgery on it. It's in bad shape though.

Well, you're leaving to go back to NJ and all I have to say is its a shame you don't live down here. Learned a lot from ya while you were here and had a blast riding with ya. Sorry I ran you over that glass today! btw, that town in NJ is very small and its called Tranquility and its near Hacketstown (does that sound right?)

Hey Joe, great ride on Saturday! You made some monster pulls. I'll try to come out one of these Sundays for the R.T. Deli ride. I'll be the one hanging on your wheel trying to keep up.

Yo, Joe. You are the schizzle-no doubt about that. Most improved rider since last year, I was telling Arch Knemisis after the ride today. But solo breakaway on Sunday??? You were just lost dude-the peleton went the other way to Jay land.

BTW: this comment won't jeaprodize my case of Ultra, will it?

I had the pleasure of meeting Joe33 at Reunion 2007 in Watkins Glen, NY. Joe is a very strong rider and lots of fun to swap stories with. On the one hand, he is always ready to take a pull with the strong riders. On the other hand, he is always ready to help out and encourage the not-so-strong riders. Great guy, I would recommend riding with him any day, any where.

Joe is one cool dude! Got to spend time with him at RU07 in NY. A very strong rider who keeps an eye out for those not quite as strong. While hanging out at the campground we got to know him a bit. I'd ride with Joe any day.

History:

Got back on a bike again in July 2005, after a 14 year layoff, to lose weight. Former Cat 4 Racer back in the Navy, before that just citizens level races. Navy stopped my bike riding when I had to go to sea. Spent time off the bike for 11 years due to naval obligations and excuses about gearing not right for hills and a torn ACL in 97. Sold cannondale in 99 because I wasnt riding it. Fed up with the way I looked at 300 lbs., got back on and glad I did it. Got my Cat 5 license in March '06 and joined the Somerset Wheelmen. Moved to Saint Augustine, to be with Girlfriend, family and friends after getting laid off from work in NJ. Now in Florida full time and working to lose some of the weight I put back on.

Road bike
Description:

This was the Bike I started with in July of 2005, in NJ. Hence the (NJ) designation. I knew I would travel and see my parents a lot. So I got two bikes to save money on transport.

Three newer bikes later..... :) Yes I did save money actually. The Orbea cost, in total, what it would have cost me to ship or fly a bike down and back every time I visited.

This one went through HUGE changes, since I rode it so much more and got it fitted/equipped the way I knew I needed it.

Started with a Triple and Sora and Suspension Seatpost and cushy saddle. Changed to
Flite Saddle
Neuvation M28 Wheelset
SLK Compact Carbon Crank 50/34
Shimano 105 Shifters and Derailleurs

This bike taught me what I liked, needed and didn't like. Now my brother in Laws.

Road bike
Description:  Old racing bike. Do not have it now, sold it when I lost interest in riding. Served me well. Still had a picture, so I'd thought I would post it with my lifetime estimated miles. I know I did more than 7000, but it's a safe estimate. Used to be a R300, but that's the model I cracked the rear dropouts in a sprint on and cannondale gave me this frame as a replacement. That's why I have red effects and a blue frame. :) The original color was red with white.
