Sorry, I don't plan on going to the races. I watched the Labor Day weekend races last year.

It is indeed a small world. I live in Conroe and work in Houston. Other than the long bus ride into town, it's a pretty good arrangement.

If you get down this way, look me up!

Hi, I noticed your profile on the forums and see your from St Louis. My family is seriously think about moving there this fall(job relocation) and I'm an avid rider and hoping maybe you can tell me how the cycling is there. Thank you, Richard

Glad you like my avator. I saw it on a bike ride and had to take a picture....goofy yes but it does make a good photo

No I did not ride "Bike the Bay" this year. The week before I rode "Midnight Madness" with my 10 year old grand daughter. Maybe next year we will do both. Glad you enjoyed your stay in our fine ci

Performance is the same product - hard to improve on the best. Check out our website at www.betterhealthin31days.com/nhd. Would love to talk to you. Had our international convention in St. Louis 3 years ago and had a great time. I now ride with granddaughters who are 9 and 6 and they both use Performance and some of the other products.

I see that you fixed your typo on the TIB thread. Enjoy your 2013 cycling season!

I love that top road bike, where can I get one?

If you posted them in the forum that is where I found them. They worked great well into the 20 degrees rides with some Specialized merino wool socks

Hey Rob,

Just saw your comment from a couple weeks ago. Things are going slowly this year (bike wise), compared to the last two - a lot due to the weather. Planning on going to the reunion in Sept - a lot of time to get some riding in between now & then.

Maybe we'll run across each other somewhere out on the road.

History:

I started cycling again in 1987 when my wife decided to get a bike for herself and ride it for exercize and fun. I was riding a borrowed MTB for the first few months, I was hooked (again) from my first pedal stroke. I recieved a nice road bike in August that year as a gift. Rode it until the frame broke 13 years and lots of miles later (I'd guess about 35,000 +/- miles based on old log books.). Had a couple close calls along the way, including a nasty bike/car accident where I was T-Boned by a car at an intersection. The accident destroyed my new racing bike that only had about 1000 miles on it. Also got some GREAT use out of my helmet that day!
Still find riding too much fun to think about doing something else. My wife still rides occasonally.
My total "Lifetime" mileage doesn't include any riding from 1987 until 2004 when I started using Bike Journal.
