History:

Have rode the West Michigan area for the last 40 years. Raced Cat 3 USCF from mid 70's to mid 80's. Riding recumbents since 2010. lifetime mileage over 100,000 miles. First bike was a Schwinn Typhoon that I rode to school. First racing bike was a Follis that I rode in the 70's. Have organized and promoted tours and races in the 70's and 80's. Rode 200 miles in 10 hours at Belle Isle Marathon. On the winning 100k TTT team in Michigan, in 2 hours 26 minutes, before Aero equipment. Won several Roller Races in the 80's. Have run 8 marathons, finishing Boston in 3 hours 30 minutes in 1987. Always looking for a new challenge. Back problems forced me to reduce my riding until a good friend (bikenbud) got me into recumbent high racers. Getting my mileage back up, as a result and to lose weight, and stay fit.
