The early 90's found me crawling up the mountains near Denver, then progressing to the bike paths of the city and the climbs of the I-70 corridor. The late 90's found me in Arizona not riding much. Re-discovered cycling in 2004 (why did I ever stop?)
Favorite kind of day: long distance rides in the mountains. I love climbing, even though I'm often the slowest up the hills.
Most memorable rides: Colorado MS150 in 1995, Ride the Rockies in 2005, Triple Bypass Ride in 2006, 2008, 2011, first double century (solo) in 2006, Spring Solvang Double in 2008, Spring Death Valley Double 2010 (DNF), 2011 (DNF again!), Hemet Double 2011, Davis Double 2011, Grand Tour Double 2011, 2013, Fall Death Valley Double 2012 (DNF yet again!), 2013 (finally finished!) |
