I started biking in May 2008 when gas hit $4.10 a gallon and I made a conscious decision to participate in the continuing insanity as little as possible. I took an old mountain bike down out of the garage and started riding to work. Even as gas prices fell I found I enjoyed the ride to and from work so thoroughly that I kept on riding and upgraded to my present pannier and blinkie encrusted commuter beauty that I ride to work. Now i want a nice road bike for the longer weekend rides. |
