Looks like you are a really accomplished cyclist and maybe around my age (73 yrs) and a neighbour in Burnaby. I live in Vancouver near the VGH. I took up cycling in Indonesia in 1995 and am now at 80,282 kms on my bike (3312 km in 2019). My user name is SamG (No.71), check me out. I am semi retired (work 5 mths of year) and ride to Richmond (Iona, Steveston and back for 65 km ride). Let me know if you are interested in riding come March or so. I dont ride in the wet or cold!!

.jpg) Health issue is recurrence of atrial fibulation (afib). After an ablation in 2018, it came back in late March 2020. It mysteriously disappeared on May 9, but I think this is temporary. I'm waiting to schedule another ablation, but surgeries have been put on hold for now..

Started riding seriously in 1971 with the Berkeley Wheelmen. Raced in Canada between 1973 and 2008, much of it on the track. 3rd in 2002 UCI Masters World Track Championships Points Race (50-54). Won masters races in Canada, US, Mexico, Guatemala, Caribbean in 1980s-90s. Currently retired and spending half the year in Northern California and the other half in Vancouver, Canada. Commuted by bike (usually fixed gear) almost every day of my working career until retirement in 2016.
You can verify my mileages on Strava under "Luis Bernhardt." I usually record all my rides. My actual figures come from my wired bike computer, rather than the GPS. |
