Upon retirement in February, 2003 I purchased my first road bike and started riding on a regular basis. In 2003 I rode 3700 miles and 13 centuries. In 2004 I rode 5700 miles and 21 centuries. In 2005 I rode 5424 miles. BRAG 03,04,05,06. In 2006 I rode 4688 miles, short of my 6000 goal, but primarily due to a broken arm on August 26 during the tour de Rogers ride, Bremen Ga. (almost 20,000 miles for 2003 - 2006). In 2007 I managed 32 miles under 7000--needed one more ride! Included were the classic rides: STP, BRAG, RAGBRAI, Natches Trace, Underground Railroad.
6000 miles in 2008, including BRAG, STP, Blue Ridge Pkwy, Jackson MS to Nashville to Chattanooga on Bobby ride. For year 2009 I rode 8300 miles including 17 centuries. Ride of the year was our cross-country ride, San Diego to St. Augustine, March 31 to May 9. In July we drove to Maine and I added many more states to my 'states ridden', leaving Oklahoma, Arkansas, Michigan and Wisconsin yet to be ridden in. For 2010 I rode 6300 miles, including a Bobby Ride from Poughkepsie, NY to Richmond, VA, a 5-Boroughs Ride in the Boroughs of NY City, the first day of the STP with NeilP, and our Sept Utah ride. 7300 miles for 2011 incl.BRAG, Outerbanks, Natchez Trace, ride to L. Hartwell, 3 to Jacksonville AL, Festivelo and commpletion of all lower 48s with rides in Michigan and Wisconsin, latter with Diane & Bob. 2012: 6930 miles including Hawaii, Pacific NW, BRAG. All 50 states ridden. 2013:5936 miles-Utah,Greek Islands, Festivelo,C&O Canal. 2014: 6400 miles incl: Northern Idaho, STP, north end Natchez trace, central Florida, Festivelo. 2015:5500 miles incl. Ga'Fl line to Key West. 2016: GA/FL brdr to Clewiston, STP. 6290 miles. 2017:2500 miles, no major rides due to Prostate treatment, broken wrist, month cruise and trip to New England. 2018--3600 miles, no overnight rides after Feb. Clermont-Lake Wales-Lake City. 2019 BRAG, Zydaco, Festivelo,about 2500 miles. Marilyn's death and my life-threatening fall curtailed my annual miles. 2020. Feb--back on bike. May 25--just passed 95,000 miles. July 11: 90,000 miles on LiteSpeed Veneto. August 15--passed 96,000 miles. Oct 31==97,000. Miles for 2020: 3176, 2714 short of 100,000. Year of covid-19 pandemic. No overnight rides. 2021: Crossed 98,000 miles March 13. Daily on Peloton since Jan. 22. Crossed 99,000 miles May 20. Crossed 100,000 Sept 14. Found forgot to post 2003, 2004--doing so put my LiteSpeed over 100,000. Abandoned Litespeed at 101,980 with cracked weld. Crossed 110,000 Dec. 16 on Peloton ride.3313 miles 2021.

Description:  Enough miles that I wore out the Mavic freehub and the Ultegra shifters during my rides in 2007. New rear shifter cable at 89,500--may have replaced original which was breaking. Broke 1st spoke front wheel at 89,542, but new wheels, about 2 years old.
