History:

1984, at age 35 started serious cycling in Garland-Richardson-Plano, TX. Greg Lemond, Bernard Hinault, Alexi Grewal, Davis Phinney, Connie Carpenter-Phinney, Rebecca Twigg, Steve Bauer, Sean Kelly, Stephen Roche, Phil Anderson, & especially N-Dallas local rider Peter Green were inspirations during my early cycling years.
I watched Peter do a 1984 Memorial Day race, then immediately ordered a Mercian/Campy bike for myself.
1985, helped Peter train to win the USCF National Individual Time Trial Championship for age category 55-59. Peter's jersey, medal & a photo are framed & hanging on the Richardson Bike Mart wall of fame.
1985-1990, USCF registered Cat 3, Criterium & road raced in DFW area.
1999, Moved to Cedar Rapids, IA
Completed RAGBRAIs: 2000-2004, 2006-2012; GRABAAWRs: 2009-2011 & Bicycle Tour of CO 2012. |
