History:

Started riding in June of 2006 when I moved to France. On my first ride on my new bike, I fell over twice (in the same spot) while trying to get the dang shoes in the dang clips. I still have nine little scars on my leg where the front pointy thing stuck me. What I learned from this tumble is that (while on a 17% incline) one should never put one's "down-hill" foot in first. You need that thing free when the "up-hill" foot won't go in the dang clip. Most of my rides are solo though I had the pleasure of riding with 8,000 other folks in the Etape du Tour in 2007 and 2009.
