I'm a 67-year-young guy, who started biking in 2004, due to the encouragement of my son. As a kid, I liked riding my old Hiawatha, but for more than 50 years my exercise came as the result of golf, hiking, occasional jogging (I hate it), weights, and chasing after dollars in the ever-competitive business world. I'm now retired and I love getting out on my bike. The Spandex scene and 'clicky' shoes still scare hell out of me, but I have finally converted to bike jerseys, road shoes and baggies. What will be next? I suppose whatever my son says is 'cool' for an old fart. |
