History:

Avid rider since age four. Raced a little at the High School level in the 70's, and learned to wrench on bikes at the same time. Still riding and wrenching; nothing beats the feeling of riding a vintage bike that one has restored themselves. :)

Description:   "Vee" (Viaggiatore): 1986 Bianchi Super Grizzly MTB. Tange d/b lugged Cro-mo frame in classic Celeste w/ full M730 series Deore XT with updated Deore crankset. Purchased brand new in 1987.

Description:  "Bella Nero" My winter 2006/06 project bike. Bianchi Limited from the mid-80's, with Ishiwata 022 d/b frame, full Shimano 600 Arabesque, flat bars with XT brake levers.
Update Feb 2007: Added a lovely Shimano 700 CX rear derailleur, XT triple cranks, and offroad/touring tires for more of a CX capability. Handles very well as a mixed surface/mixed use bike. Updated photo soon come.

Description:  "Wo Fat", my 2004/05 winter project bike: 1984 Kuwahara Sierra Grande MTB. Tange/Champion 4130 butted lugged steel frame. Deore/Deore XT (and a few original XT Deerhead bits) component mix. Suntour MG81 forks.

Description:  "Geri", my French classic roadie. Full Reynolds 531 d/b frame. Campagnolo/Weinmann/Cinelli/Normandy/Mavic components. Bought new in 1977 after my first beloved Falcon was stolen.

Road bike
Description:  "Raptor". Vintage late 60's British classic. Lightweight, lugged steel frame by Ernie Clements hand built in Lincolnshire England. Classic old-school European gear: Huret/Weinmann/Atom/Rigida etc. I upgraded the rusted steel cranks to Sugino Mighty Comp alloy, and derusted/repainted/restored the frame and running gear August 2006. Totally roadworthy, but she now spends most of her time on the indoor trainer.
