I'm 80. I ride with long time friends on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. We call ourselves the Rusty Chain Gang. Our main club tie is the Fort Worth Bicycle Association. I have been riding with the FWBA since 1975 and did my first and last Century in 1976. After recovering from that Century, I didn't ride much with a club until 1994 when I got started again with with a group of retirees that eventually became the Rusty Chain Gang.
I got a Seven Elium SG on October 9, 2006. I had about 15,000 miles on my 2002 Trek 5200. At supper with Jerry Trimble, I was sold on Seven bicycles and had to have one. The fit process on the Seven is impressive and the people were great.
You should know that buying a one of a kind bike is a big risk and you are loosing the advantage of getting a bicycle built by a company that has built thousands of the same model that you can ride before you buy. I now have a Garmin Edge 500. The total mileage is 17,956.33 as of 01/07/2013. |
