Been riding since Jr. High School back in 1982 rode to school every day 16 miles. Back then it was the Sears Free Spirit bikes that were forever breaking down. Learned early in life how to fix bikes.
First decent bike was a Diamondback Topanga in 1997. Lived in Vancouver, BC area at the time.
Upgraded to a Marin FRS Team in 1999. Rode that in Kanaskis Country, Alberta for 4 years.
Upgraded to a Marin Tara frame in 2003 built it up with a mixture of Shimano drive train, Raceface Cranks, Rockshox Psylo, and Avid mechanical disk. Rode that until 2008 then the rear triangle broke from a stress fracture above the bottom bracket.
Bought a 2000 Norco Sasquatch frame for a steal and moved my parts over.
Now I'm the proud owner of a Rocky Mountain Element 50. Thanks Pat!
Just picked up my old commuter and plan to restore it this fall.
