History: I was born in the 50's married in the 80's had two kids in the late 80's rediscovered bicycling in April of 2005, so I guess that makes it 11 years since I restarted. The last couple of years I had some Physical Issues, first was rotator cuff surgery from a car hitting me while I was walking across the street. Took pretty much a year off for that. Then after that healed up I started tooo aggressively and injured both of my knees and spent the better part of 2015's riding weather doing PT. This year (2016) I am starting again but much more conservatively, we'll see how this works out.

Well, here it is 2024 and I'm starting again. No events planned just a lot of commuting and some weekend pleasure rides.
2024 Update. 11/18/24 Crash on commute home from work. Concussion, broken collar bone and road rash, two days in the Hospital for tests. I have No Idea what happened thanks to the Concussion. Helmet Broken in three Pieces (it was new) Lost the Jersey, they cut it off in the ER and scrapped the riding gloves. Minor Damage to the bike just a couple of scratches. Took a couple of weeks off the bike and then started on a trainer. January 1, 2025 was a nice day and I actually rode about 10 miles outdoors.
2025 Update. Got a JetBlack Victory trainer in late January and have been logging Miles on Zwift If you see a bulk post it will be virtual miles, I will post my Outdoor miles as single Rides. |

2006 Cannondale Synapse Alloy 2

Description: 2006 A Bright Red Cannondale Synapse Alloy 2 shown in action on the Mad River Valley Century ride. She performed flawlessly on this ride and has only squabbled with me when I didn't change her chain in time and she made me change the cassette and large chain ring too. It is only the first year in our relationship and I will learn what she needs and when she needs it.
Update 4/14/10 34,744 miles and the Frame cracked at the dropouts, Cannondale will replace or upgrade frame, too soon to tell which way we are going.
