Did a couple bike treks with the Lung Association in Alaska riding from Anchorage to Talkeetna, and from Fairbanks to Valdez back in the late 80's. Stopped riding when I moved to Oregon. Started riding with a very friendly group at Spin Cycle in Grants Pass. Found that I could no longer ride a diamond frame due to health problems so I have bought a recumbent. I am just starting to get in shape and have a long way to go, but the group is really encouraging and the camaraderie at a the coffee shop after rides keeps me hanging in there. |
