Got my first bike at six. Have ridden all of my life with the exception of the previous few years. Rode my bike down the scenic overlook in Davis Mountain State Park in Texas back when you could do that (bout 50 mph wow)I have a mountain bike and a LWB recumbent. I much prefer the bent as my rear doesn't tolerate tiny seats anymore. My renewed interest in biking was brought about by high blood pressure. Goal- to stop taking meds in a year.
A year later...gave the mountain bike to my son. Still taking the accuretic but the BP is now excellent. Got my wife Linda to start riding and she is pretty tough! We are now empty nesters. The 3 kiddos have jumped out of the nest and finally taken flight. The old home made bike has been a good ride for the past 1100 miles. I can't believe I actually made this thing. Looking forward to many more miles and many more friends.
