been bikin' since i was a kid (freedom!) I have been cycling seriously since 1994. Most memorable bike ride, I was the sole South Dakota rider on the American Lung Association's 'GTE BigRide Across America' in 1998 ~ Seattle to DC ~ 3200 fun and grueling miles across the USA ~ in 45 days (heaven on earth!)
I also lead a weekly SEBC club ride, and I love touring, mostly rails to trails, packin' my camera ~ Allegheny and C&O Canal is my favorite ride. I recommend it to every level. KATY trail, Minnesota and Wisconsin trails are fun, but anytime I can 'escape' on one of my bikes, I will do it. I usually get somewhere around 2000 miles per year combined on my bikes: Gunnar Roadie, Cannondale MTB, and Bianchi Volpe touring.. |
