I started riding in 1999, I joined Carrollton Cycling shortly thereafter and rode every chance I got (solo, organized group and pay rides) upgraded bikes a few times, (Raleigh, GT, then a Trek) kids came along, life got in the way and the riding all but stopped, sold the Trek 5500, bought a Cervelo R2.5 a few months later, it was recalled and I got the R3 (sweet ride) and ride it and my other bikes 3-4 times a week or more. I found bikejournal.com through a friend of mine (urbinrider) and I can't wait to get home and log my ride.

Description: Purchased 8-30-05 at Richardson Bike Mart. It was actually mis-priced and when Jim Hoyt, the owner told me that he would honor the price if I bought it now OR change the tag as soon as I left.........I jumped all over it!!! A rider mentioned a recall to me on the Autumn in Bonham ride in 2006 and just so happenned this bike was included. RECALLED and received the R3 frameset for no charge.

Description: Bought used from Plano Cycling for $1200.00, it was a team members bike. Gold Rolf Vector Pro wheelset, full Dura-Ace, noticed front rim was cracked after I got it home, so they replaced for free (requested black), had back wheel rebuilt with new black rim, had it recabled, replaced the saddle and rode it religiously while I lived in The Colony, moved to Justin and hung it in the garage and rode it very rarely until I SOLD it on Ebay in 2005 for $1200.00

Description: My second road bike, bought it at The Bicycle Exchange in Carrollton on closeout for $799 right before they closed the doors. This bike seemed to send all of the road vibrations to my back and I would get very uncomfortable on rides longer than 50 miles, SOLD on ebay for $450.00
