Started cycling regularly from May 1995 to Feb.1998 in Jakarta, Indonesia and then for 2.5 yrs in Vietnam (North & South) while on work assignments. Since April 2002, I am riding in gorgeous Vancouver. As of March 13, 2021, after a total of 1889 rides (Average 19.35 km/hr), I have got to 83,976 km since May 1, 1995 - over 25.5 yrs. Hurrah! Now on my 3rd trip around the world, if life and good health permit! Since Sept 27, 2015, I started riding my new Specialized Roubaix SL4 Sport (105 Group - new KMC 105 chain, 11/32T cassette and 105 Road pedals, S-Works Zertz Seat Post, a great shock absorber!). What a really great, smooth, quiet bike: a silky machine! In March 2021, I put on a new chain ring (FSA), chain and cassette (11x34A), the BB is still fine and the bike is like new!!
My Roubaix was stolen in late Nov.2021, so as of May 22, 2022 I am riding a new Specialized Allez E5 Elite. Not as great as the Roubaix but affordable! |
