History:

Like most people, I enjoyed cycling as a child, including on the purple "banana seat" bike I had in the early 70s. I even did a bike trip from Girl Scout camp on that bike when I was twelve (several days on the roads, including major hills/mountains!).
More recently, I started cycling again in July 2007 because of a good friend. I completed my first organized metric century and century rides in 2008. I got involved with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team in Training (TnT) in December 2008. I've now fundraised for many rides with TnT, including America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride in Lake Tahoe every year. I have been a mentor and coach with TnT. I participate in the PA Hope Ride for the American Cancer Society and do as many charity rides as I can. I've done RAGBRAI every year since 2012 and have been riding over 7,000 miles per year since 2010. I love riding in Lancaster County, where I live, and surrounding areas. |
