Anyone ever pass a paceline on a recumbent? Very satisfying.... uprights are huge air catchers...

I am a recumbent rider and have been since 2011. However, I am definitely not faster than a group of regular diamond frame riders in a pace line. I am a slow old fart riding mostly my Bacchetta Carbon Corsa, or my Ti-aero, or my V-rex, and occasionally my Catrike Expedition.

I earned that moniker on my recumbent and it wasn't by passing anyone.

P.S. Welcome to BJ and the forum.

I like my Recumbents: And I like my uprights too: But I can't remember EVER passing a paceline - on anything.

Not so quick on that response. The problem is in the past that a recumbent was considered an "old man" bicycle. They are now fast bicycles. For instance, a relative youngster Jason Perez beat all on the 2016 Triple Crown and finished it off with this.

I passed a small paceline on Apple Cider Century last year. Considering the speed difference, nobody had any chance of latching on to me. One of them hollered ahead to me, "...just wait till the hills!" I guess that meant he wanted me to wait for him. I never saw him again.
