Distance: 62.20 miles Category: training: general - solo Altitude Gain: 0 ft
Time: 05:02:44 Avg Speed: 12.33 mph Max Speed: 0.00 mph
Terrain: Road: Flat Bike: Fuji Absolute 1.0 700c Hybrid
Weather Conditions: 57 degrees, 67% humidity, real feel of 57, winds from every which way. I wore a base layer, a long sleeve jersey, my heavy yellow jacket, two pairs of socks, knickers, tights, long fingered gloves, and a balaclava. I was not overdressed. 57 degrees here feels more like 45 in other parts of the world.
Ride Description: My first 2009 metric, and was it a hard one! Headed out to the bike path and first went to the end of the Jing Fu path, something I haven't done since I can't remember when. Turned around from there and went all the way back, then took another path that took me to the Guandu Temple. Stopped at a convenience mart for some chips and caffeine, and went to the bikers rest area to chow down before heading back into Tienmu. Had to do a few other spins around the roads to kick the computer over to 100 km. The winds were fierce today, but the forecasted rain wasn't making its appearance, so I just plugged on. I'm a little beat up right now, but the ride was worth every bit of angst. At one point the wind was so strong against me that I could only muster 14.6 km per hour. That's crazy!
